Questions, answered

Everything you need for a smooth event.

Start with the practical details below. If your event is sensitive or unusual, talk to us before you publish.

The experience

What is Wedding Quest?

Wedding Quest is a browser-based event experience. A host creates personal trivia, guest bingo and photo missions, then shares one QR code. Guests play and contribute photos from their phones while approved uploads can appear in a live slideshow.

Is it only for weddings?

Weddings are the flagship experience, but you can also tailor the format for birthdays and ceremonies. Memorial events use a quieter Tribute mode focused on shared photos and memories rather than competition.

Do guests need an app or account?

No. Guests open the QR link in a modern mobile browser and choose a display name. Hosts need an account so they can edit the event, manage access and moderate uploads.

Can older or less technical guests take part?

The guest flow is designed around large tap targets, short instructions and one QR link. A host can also share the same link by message. We still recommend printing a short instruction beside the QR code and nominating a helper at the venue.

Photos and privacy

Who can see guest photos?

Approved display copies are available only inside the private event to invited people with the current secret link and an active guest session. The event is not a public gallery or search-indexed page. Hosts should still tell guests how photos will be used and obtain any consent required for children, private venues or sensitive events.

Can a host remove an upload?

Yes. Hosts can approve, hide or permanently delete guest uploads. Only approved display copies reach guests or Wedding Quest Live, and guest reports return a photo to the host’s attention.

How long is the gallery available?

Starter includes 7 days after the event, Celebration includes 30 days and Keepsake includes 12 months. The host can request earlier deletion. Retention starts from the configured event end date.

Can I download the photos?

Hosts can download individual source photos during the active event window. Celebration and Keepsake also include an export manifest with authenticated source links. Every plan can curate favourite approved moments and print or save the memory recap as a PDF. We do not promise a single ZIP bundle for large galleries.

Setup and event day

How long does setup take?

A simple event can be ready in about 10–15 minutes once you have your names, story details and prompts. You stay in control of every generated or suggested question before publishing.

Does the venue need internet?

Yes. Hosts, guests and the live screen need internet access. The product keeps the last successful screen state, refreshes after reconnection and safely retries transient photo-upload failures without creating duplicates, but it cannot submit new activity while fully offline. Test venue Wi-Fi and mobile coverage before the event.

What do I need for Wedding Quest Live?

Celebration and Keepsake include Wedding Quest Live. Open it from the host workspace on a laptop connected to a TV or projector. It includes welcome, private join QR, guest moments and leaderboard modes, requests a screen wake lock where the browser supports it, and keeps manual controls available if the connection slows.

What happens when a guest limit is reached?

Existing guests can continue, but new joins are paused. Choose the right pass before paying: event passes and their limits are fixed once activated, so pricing and retention remain predictable.

Payments and support

Is pricing a subscription?

No. Each pass is a one-time Australian dollar purchase for one event. There is no automatic renewal. Any applicable tax and the final total must be displayed at checkout.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Australian Consumer Law rights always apply. The draft voluntary change-of-mind policy also proposes a refund within 7 days when the event has not been published and no guest activity or uploads have occurred. See the Refund Policy for details and launch caveats.

Can I delete my account or event data?

Hosts can permanently delete an event from its Settings tab and can delete their host account from Account. Those actions revoke access and queue related media removal. Some transaction, audit or security records may still need to be retained for legal, fraud-prevention or accounting reasons.

Where can I get help?

Use the Contact page for account, event-day, billing or privacy support. A verified support address and response hours will be published before payments are enabled.
